"Change your thoughts, and you change your world"
Norman Vincent Peale

My Approach
My aim is to create a welcoming and warm space, a safe place to explore thoughts, emotions and behaviours, and the perspectives or stories that may be behind these. Counselling is a collaborative process, and together, we would contemplate current default responses, and why we may be behaving this way. With this awareness, there is often an opportunity to change, and counselling is a supportive space to consider different ways of thinking or behaving; and to reflect on how these may change current life situations.
Most often, my counselling is fairly short term, focusing on insights and skills to tackle immediate struggles. These could be feelings of low self esteem or unworthiness, relationship challenges, anxiety, navigating changes in life, feeling low or dealing with grief.
In my experience, it is most effective to meet once a week, either in person or online, and how long we continue is completely up to you and your needs. I have seen that shifts in perceptions, thinking, behaviour, and emotions are completely possible in 6 to 8 sessions.
The aim of counselling, is to provide you with the tools and techniques, as well as personal confidence, to continue your life journey in a more fulfilling way.
